Prices are in pounds sterling and are as shown on the website when you order. The price of each kit includes delivery of the kit to a UK address, prepaid tracked return postage for your samples, laboratory analysis of the number of samples stated for that kit, and your certificate of analysis by email. Payment is taken in full when you order, by debit or credit card through our payment provider, Stripe. Your contract with us is formed when your payment is accepted.
Kits are dispatched promptly to UK addresses only, and delivery is included in the price. Prepaid return postage covers UK addresses only.
Samples are analysed by a UKAS-accredited laboratory. Results are emailed the next working day (Express and Trade kits) or within two working days (Basic and Standard kits) after the laboratory receives your samples. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. These are target times: occasionally a sample needs further examination, and we will tell you if that is the case. Samples must be solid building materials, taken and packaged as the kit instructions describe; we may be unable to analyse samples that are unsuitable or unsafe to handle. Results relate only to the samples submitted; they are not a survey of the wider property.
You may cancel an unused, unopened kit within 14 days of delivery for a full refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Once samples have been submitted for analysis the service has begun and the analysis fee is non-refundable. If a kit arrives damaged or incomplete, tell us and we will replace it free of charge. To cancel, email info@test4asbestos.uk with your order reference. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Follow the sampling instructions provided with your kit and wear suitable protective equipment (the Basic kit does not include PPE). Do not disturb material that is badly damaged or friable — seek professional advice. Nothing on this website constitutes a professional survey of your property.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for how samples are taken, for materials that were not sampled, or for decisions made about parts of a property that were not tested. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
